Same Same but Black presents: Beyond.

Same Same but Black is a celebration of People of Colour within the LGBTQIA community.
This event is to put us front and centre, creating a space for and a celebration of our contribution to LGBTQIA history, to show positive images of blackness on screen and to witness our commitment to our intersectional communities.

Join us at the Corban Arts Estate out west for a night of short films celebrating LGBTQIA people of colour.

New Zealand Premier screening of “Beyond – There’s always a Black issue.” Directed by Claire Lawrie and winner of the coveted Iris Prize and winner of the ‘Best of British’ award at the Queer film festival.

Also showing on the night will be two short films by the director Campbell X – Jury member for Outfest LA, IRIS Prize and Doc N Roll festival and others to be confirmed.
